Tour Itinerary

Welcome to the gateway of wild wonders; Sandakan!
Meet and Greet at the Sandakan airport or Hotel lobby where you be transferred to visit the Wild Man of the Forest at Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
The sanctuary is surrounded mostly by virgin tropical lowland Dipterocarp forest. A short nature walk through the lowland forest will lead you to a viewing platform where you will be able to witness the wild Orang Utans swing from branch to branch for their morning feedings.
You can also view a short documentary about the orphaned orang utans that were brought in for rehabilitation until they are ready to be return to the wild.
After a monkeyin’ around in Sepilok, you will be whisked on a tour of Sandakan City.
The first stop offers panoramic views of Sandakan Bay. The Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Sandakan coast.
After taking in the sights, enter the delectable depths of Sandakan Central Market, fresh seafood galore and the best of Sabah agriculture produce.
Next up the Sim Sim Water Village. Houses painted with the most vibrant colors are built on stilts just above the water’s surface, home to a tiny local population which main income derives from fishing.
After tour, transfer to Sandakan airport or your respective hotel. Tour ends at around 1300hrs.

Continue the tour to Agnes Keith House. The book Land Below the Wind and White Man Returns were written in the house and today the house has turned into a heritage house providing interesting insight to life during British North Borneo. After tour, transfer to Sandakan airport or your respective hotel. Tour ends between 16:00hrs to 16:30hrs.
